Beautifully finished and with uninterrupted views over the lake and on to the surrounding countryside this log cabin is surrounded by Christmas trees to ensure maximum seclusion and has a wonderful Norwegian feel about it. Steeped in history Dorset s landscape of rolling chalk downland and hidden valleys affords wonderful walking with a network of footpaths directly from the lodge. You will be a couple of minutes walk to a traditional 250 year old pub which has an inviting bar and restaurant and on site there is a farm shop selling everything from locally produced meat from its own butchery to freshly baked bread and croissants. The area offers a host of pretty and well renowned villages sandy beaches and a coastline which has World Heritage status. The towns of Dorchester Blandford Forum and Weymouth are easily accessible and there are many attractions including Monkey World Abbotsbury Swannery Lulworth Castle to name but a few. The accommodation is finished to a high standard and offers TWO bedrooms: 1 master bedroom with king-size bed en-suite shower and WC and 1 twin (which can be made into a double on request). Bathroom: with bath and WC. Lounge/kitchen/diner: open-plan with woodburner (logs included) TV DVD and iPod dock. Kitchen area with gas oven gas hob microwave fridge dishwasher and washing machine. Outside: veranda with table chairs and BBQ with steps down to open lawned area. Amenities: ample parking. Bed linen towels electric underfloor heating throughout and Wi-Fi included. 1 dog welcome further by arrangement. Regret no smoking. Location: Excellent walking straight from the site farm shop and pub within walking distance. Weymouth s beach within a 30 minute drive.

Dorchester is the county town of Dorset, England. It is situated on the River Frome, south of the Dorset Downs and north of the South Dorset Ridgeway, in the Frome Valley, near to Lower Bockhampton, Broadmayne, Steepleton, Piddletrenthide, and Osmington and is one of over 130 towns and villages in Dorset in which Go2 has cottages or holidays lets available. The nearest main cities are Wells (population 10,406), Bath (population 90,144), and Bristol (which has a population of 420,556 according to the 2001 Census).
Dorchester is an historic market town, perhaps best known as being both the home and the inspiration of Thomas Hardy, whose based his novel 'The Mayor of Casterbridge' on Dorchester. Many of his other novels were, of course, based on 'Wessex' which is mainly based on the Dorset area of South West England.
